Who?

Young talents that have not reached the age of 19 on the day of the finals (31/03/2019) and that are domiciled in Belgium.

  • Category 1: on 31/03/2019, not having reached the age of 13 yet
  • Category 2: on 31/03/2019, not having reached the age of 16 yet
  • Category 3: on 31/03/2019, not having reached the age of 19 yet

What?

All pieces have to be played by memory.

  • Category 1:
    • Compulsory piece J.S. Bach: small preludes or similar
    • One or more pieces chosen by the participant
    • Maximum duration 7 minutes
  • Category 2:
    • Compulsory piece J.S. Bach: two- or three-part invention
    • One or more pieces chosen by the participant
    • Maximum duration 12 minutes
  • Category 3:
    • Compulsory piece J.S. Bach: three-part invention or Prelude and Fugue from WTC
    • One or more pieces chosen by the participant
    • Maximum duration 20 minutes

The finalists can play the same programme as they did at the selection test.

When?

  • Saturday 31/12/2018: Deadline for the entry forms
  • Saturday 16/02/2019: Selection tests Session 1, starting at 09.00 am (Auditorium Piano’s Maene, Industriestraat 42, 8755 Ruiselede)
  • Sunday 17/02/2019: Selection tests Session 2, starting at 09.00 am (Auditorium Piano’s Maene, Industriestraat 42, 8755 Ruiselede)
  • Sunday 23/02/2019: OPTIONAL (depending on the number of inscriptions): Selection tests Session 3, starting at 09.00 am (Auditorium Piano’s Maene, Industriestraat 42, 8755 Ruiselede)
  • Sunday 31/03/2019: Finals, starting at 3.00 pm Watch out: winter time changes is summer time! (Bozar, Henry Le Boeuf hall, Ravensteinstraat 23, 1000 Brussels
